Hello everyone on my channel!

This year I have completely updated the varietal range of cucumbers that I will grow this season. I did not pick up many new varieties, but not one of them was previously grown by me. The varieties are not familiar to me, however, I hope that by updating my cucumber selection, I will find among them those that will meet the request for yield, taste, resistance to diseases and weather conditions.

This season I am adding to my selection a varietal cucumber from the Siberian series called » ALTAI » by the Poisk agricultural company.

Of the characteristics, the manufacturer claims that this is an early variety, from germination to fruiting 35-38 days. The variety is bee pollinated. The plant is medium-sized. Fruits are oval, large tuberculate, green, 9-13 cm long, with white pubescence. Fruit weight 85-115 gr. A distinctive feature of the variety is the high yield and long-term preservation of commercial qualities of the fruit.

Sowing directly into the ground is recommended from May 25 to June 5. Harvesting is expected by the end of the first decade of July.

It is recommended to grow cucumber Altai in open ground in the Central, Ural, West Siberian, East Siberian, Volga-Vyatka and Far Eastern regions of the Russian Federation.

The variety is popular due to its taste characteristics and versatility in use: cucumbers can be used not only for making salads. Its main purpose is salting and salad canning.

The Altai cucumber variety is famous for its high keeping quality; subject to the storage rules, the fruits do not lose their attractive appearance and taste.
